Igor Kolaković is a Montenegrin volleyball coach with a long record in Balkan national-team volleyball and European club competition. He is the head coach of ACH Volley Ljubljana in the 2026–27 European cycle, returning to a club he had previously coached more than a decade earlier. The appointment followed recent work with Halkbank Ankara and a second tenure in charge of Serbia’s men’s national team, giving Kolaković another club project after years in which national-team responsibilities formed a major part of his career.
His most successful international period came during his first spell with Serbia. Kolaković guided the team to bronze at the 2010 FIVB World Championship and to the 2011 European Championship title, while also leading Serbia at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. He later coached Iran’s men’s national team and returned to Serbia from 2022 through 2024. At club level his résumé includes Budućnost Podgorica, ACH Volley, AS Cannes, Al-Rayyan and Halkbank, covering several distinct league environments. That range makes him a useful example of a coach whose career is not tied to one tactical school or federation structure. By 2026, his return to Ljubljana adds continuity to a résumé built on repeated national-team cycles and high-level club assignments across Europe and beyond.
