Born on April 26, 1997, Annie Cesar has developed as a German libero and is listed at 173 cm. She was included in the senior player group for the 2026 Volleyball Nations League. Cesar has built an experienced libero résumé through German club volleyball, a period in the United States and continued senior national-team involvement.
A libero’s work is concentrated on ball control. Receiving serve, reading attacks and turning defensive touches into accurate transition balls can determine whether a team moves from pressure into a full offensive sequence. At 173 cm, Annie Cesar’s size is simply part of the biographical record; reception quality and defense depend far more on reading, movement and control.
Senior international competition asks a player to adapt to roster changes and opponents with very different tactical profiles. Her presence in the 2026 national-team picture adds another dated marker to an already experienced senior career. Her involvement with Germany Women’s National Volleyball Team in 2026 therefore belongs alongside her club career as a distinct part of her senior résumé. For Annie Cesar, that national-team record sits alongside the longer club career rather than replacing it. Even within one position, responsibilities can change with rotation, teammate combinations and opponent, so senior selection also reflects the ability to work inside a different tactical setting.
