Playing primarily as a libero, Juliette Gelin is a French international born on November 2, 2001 and listed at 162 cm. Gelin joined France’s EuroVolley 2026 roster as a libero and was listed with Bergamo in Italy for the 2026–27 club season.
Back-row stability is the core of the libero position. The player is asked to absorb serve pressure, organize defensive coverage and keep the ball in a form that allows the setter to rebuild the offense. At 162 cm, Juliette Gelin’s size is simply part of the biographical record; reception quality and defense depend far more on reading, movement and control.
International selection adds another layer to a club career: teammates come from different systems, travel is concentrated and tactical preparation moves quickly. The 2026 season adds a clear senior international marker to a career already established beyond age-group volleyball. For Juliette Gelin, the 2026 national-team cycle records the level she had reached in senior competition. For Juliette Gelin, that national-team record sits alongside the longer club career rather than replacing it. Even within one position, responsibilities can change with rotation, teammate combinations and opponent, so senior selection also reflects the ability to work inside a different tactical setting. The international season places a premium on quick adjustment, since teams can face several contrasting opponents within a short window and have less training time than during the club year.
