A Dutch international in the middle blocker role, Suus Gerritsen was born on October 7, 2005 and is listed at 197 cm. She was included in the senior player group for the 2026 Volleyball Nations League. At 197 cm, Gerritsen has a distinctive physical profile for a young middle blocker and entered the Dutch senior-team pool during the mid-2020s.
Middle blocker is a highly specialized front-row role. The player must read the opposing setter, move laterally to close blocks and then become available for quick attacks, often switching from one action to the next in a very short window. For Suus Gerritsen, the listed height of 197 cm is relevant context for a role that spends much of its front-row work at the net.
A national-team season differs from club volleyball because the training window is shorter and role definitions can shift according to opponent and roster availability. The 2026 season places her firmly in senior international competition during the early part of her professional career. Her place with Netherlands Women’s National Volleyball Team in 2026 confirms senior international experience without reducing the rest of her career to one event. For Suus Gerritsen, that national-team record sits alongside the longer club career rather than replacing it.
