Monica De Gennaro is an Italian libero whose reading, reception and defensive range have made her one of the most decorated players at her position. She won Olympic gold with Italy at Paris 2024 after a long international career that also included World Championship and European Championship podium finishes.
At club level, De Gennaro has been closely identified with Imoco Conegliano since 2013. That long spell has produced repeated Italian, Champions League and Club World Championship titles, giving her an unusually sustained run at the top of the women’s club game.
