Nikola Jovović is a Serbian setter whose long international career has made him a link between multiple generations of the national team. A member of Serbia’s 2019 European Championship-winning squad, he has spent more than a decade directing the offense at major international tournaments.
Ahead of the 2026 season, Jovović was named captain of Serbia’s men’s national team, adding a formal leadership role to his responsibilities as setter. His value lies in match management, distribution and experience rather than scoring, particularly as Serbia integrates a younger group of attackers.
