Lioubov Sokolova is a retired Russian outside hitter and opposite whose international career spanned two Olympic silver-medal campaigns and two World Championship titles. She won silver at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 and helped Russia take world gold in 2006 and 2010.
Sokolova also enjoyed an unusually broad club career across Russia, Italy, Türkiye and other major leagues. Her combination of reception, power and positional flexibility allowed her to contribute in different wing roles over a national-team career that extended into the mid-2010s.
