Neslihan Demir is a retired Turkish opposite whose heavy scoring load made her one of the faces of Turkish women’s volleyball through the 2000s and 2010s. She helped Türkiye reach the 2003 European Championship final and captained the country at its first women’s Olympic volleyball appearance in London 2012.
Demir spent the majority of her club career with leading Turkish teams, especially Eczacıbaşı and VakıfBank, while also playing in Spain. Her high-volume attacking and powerful serve earned her a reputation as one of Europe’s most prolific opposites before she retired in 2018.
