Fabi Alvim is a retired Brazilian libero who became the defensive anchor of the team that won back-to-back Olympic gold medals at Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Her reading, reception and court coverage helped make Brazil one of the most complete teams of that era.
After stepping away from the national team in 2014, Fabi continued playing for Rio de Janeiro before retiring from professional volleyball in 2018. She later moved into television commentary while remaining closely associated with the sport.
