Valerio Vermiglio is a retired Italian setter who directed Italy and several of Europe’s leading clubs during the 2000s. He won Olympic silver at Athens 2004 and European Championship gold medals in 2003 and 2005.
At club level, Vermiglio spent important stretches with Sisley Treviso and Lube Macerata and won domestic and continental trophies as a high-level organizer of the offense. His 197 cm frame also made him unusually tall for an elite setter of his generation.
