Murilo Endres is a retired Brazilian outside hitter whose all-around game made him one of the most complete players of Brazil’s post-Athens generation. He won Olympic silver at Beijing 2008 and London 2012 and was part of Brazil’s World Championship-winning teams in 2006 and 2010.
Murilo was valued as much for reception and defense as for attacking, and later in his club career he even spent time as a libero before returning to the outside-hitter role. He is the younger brother of Olympic champion Gustavo Endres and is married to Brazilian Olympic champion Jaqueline Carvalho.
