Louisa Lippmann is a German volleyball athlete who moved from a decorated indoor career to beach volleyball. As an indoor opposite, she was a long-time German national-team scorer and played professionally in several of Europe’s strongest leagues. Her height, arm speed and ability to score from high contact points made her one of Germany’s most recognizable attackers before she shifted disciplines.
Lippmann became a full-time beach player and represented Germany at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She remained active on the international and German beach circuits in 2026, initially with Linda Bock before forming a new partnership with Melanie Paul in July. Her career is a rare example of a top indoor opposite successfully rebuilding her game around the movement, defense and all-court responsibilities of beach volleyball.
