Evgeny Baranov

Evgeny Baranov is a Russian libero associated with Dynamo Moscow and the senior national-team setup. His role is centered on first-contact quality: organizing reception, extending rallies through floor defense and giving the setter predictable ball control under serving pressure. At elite club level, those details are especially important because Dynamo’s offense depends on maintaining multiple attacking options.

Baranov was selected in Russia’s 2026 squad as the team returned to a broader international match program. His experience in a title-chasing domestic environment gives Russia a libero who is accustomed to high-pressure matches and to working behind a large, physical blocking system.
