Dmitry Lyzik is a Russian middle blocker and one of the tallest regular players in Lokomotiv Novosibirsk’s front court. His 216 cm frame gives him obvious value as a blocker, but his role also depends on timing quick attacks and staying available as a first-tempo threat so opposing middles cannot simply release toward the wings.
Lyzik has grown from a young domestic prospect into a senior national-team option. He was among the Lokomotiv players selected for Russia’s 2026 pool and remained with Novosibirsk for the 2026–27 club season. That combination of club continuity and international selection has made him part of Russia’s next core of middle blockers.
