Ilya Kazachenkov is a Russian opposite who has developed into one of the prominent scoring options of his generation in the domestic Superleague. Standing 209 cm, he combines the reach expected from a modern opposite with a role that asks him to carry a significant share of high-ball attacking. He has been part of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk’s senior project since the early 2020s and remained with the club for the 2026–27 season.
Kazachenkov has also moved into Russia’s senior national-team pool. He was included in the 2026 selection used as Russia returned to a fuller international schedule, giving him a chance to translate his club form into matches against high-level international opposition. His profile is centered on size, terminal attacking and the ability to operate as a primary right-side scorer.
