Hawaii Men’s Volleyball represents the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and competes in the Big West Conference. Playing from Honolulu, the Rainbow Warriors have grown into one of the defining programs of the modern NCAA men’s game under head coach Charlie Wade. The program combines a distinctive island home environment with an international recruiting reach and a sustained ability to compete deep into the national postseason.
Hawai‘i won NCAA championships in 2021, 2022 and 2026, with the latest title completing a 30-win season. Wade has taken the Rainbow Warriors to the NCAA championship match five times since 2019 and became the program’s all-time winningest coach in 2025. That run has made Hawai‘i much more than a recent contender: the Rainbow Warriors now carry a championship standard that shapes expectations every season in both the Big West and the national tournament.
