VakıfBank remained unbeaten in the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi with a 3–1 away win over Sinnada Hotels Afyon Belediye Yüntaş on November 1. VakıfBank took the first set 25–20, lost a 39-minute second set 35–33, then won the next two 25–19 and 25–17.

Tijana Bošković scored 21 points in the official VolleyStation match table, while Zehra Güneş finished with 16. Afyon’s Sevgi Ceren Yüzgenç Solak led the home side with 19 points. The result moved VakıfBank to 6–0 and 17 points after six rounds.

Afyon push the second set to 35–33

VakıfBank had to work through two very different opening sets. The club’s official match report records the first set at 19–19 before VakıfBank produced a 5–0 run. That gave the visitors the separation they needed to close the set 25–20.

The second set did not break the same way. Afyon stayed with VakıfBank through a long finish and eventually won it 35–33. The official scoresheet shows a set that ran for 38 minutes of playing time, with the teams still level deep into the 20s before Afyon completed the set. It was the only set VakıfBank lost on the afternoon.

VakıfBank changed the shape of the match immediately after the interval. The club report has them opening the third set 5–1. They stayed in front to win it 25–19, then closed the fourth 25–17. Afyon had extended the match with one of the longest sets of the round, but the last two sets were more controlled by the visitors.

VakıfBank find the gap in attack and block

The official VolleyStation match data gives VakıfBank a 66–50 advantage in attack points and a 12–8 edge in winning blocks. Afyon had the stronger serving total, finishing with seven aces to VakıfBank’s one.

That serving edge kept Afyon competitive without erasing the difference at the net. VakıfBank produced 78 points from attacks and blocks combined; Afyon had 58. The team attack-efficiency figures were also far apart: VakıfBank finished at 36%, while Afyon were at 13%.

Afyon’s serve was not a minor detail. Aylin Toktamış recorded four aces and Liza Safronova had three. Those seven direct service points accounted for all of Afyon’s aces in the match. VakıfBank, by contrast, won with only one ace and did most of its scoring through attack and block.

The reception line reflects that pressure as well. VolleyStation records seven reception errors for VakıfBank and one for Afyon. VakıfBank still converted enough of its available swings to finish at 49% kills and 36% attack efficiency as a team. Afyon were at 32% kills and 13% efficiency, so the serve-reception advantage did not carry through to the same level of attack production.

Bošković and Zehra lead VakıfBank

Bošković’s 21 points came from 19 attacks and two blocks. She had 19 kills from 28 swings, a 68% kill rate and 54% attack efficiency. Zehra scored 16 points: 11 in attack and five from blocks. Her attacking line was also efficient, with 11 kills from 17 attempts and 47% efficiency.

Helena Cazaute added 11 points, all in attack, and Vanja Ivanović scored eight. VakıfBank used several players across the four sets, but Bošković and Zehra supplied the largest combination of volume and efficiency.

For the complete serve, reception, attack and block breakdown, VolleyStation’s full player-by-player efficiency table lists every VakıfBank player used in the match. The same match center provides Afyon’s player table and the official scoresheet.

The percentages need the workload beside them. Toktamış’s 57% attack efficiency came on only seven swings, while Bošković took 28 and Yüzgenç Solak 45. Safronova’s negative attack efficiency came from a much heavier 34-attempt workload that included seven attack errors and two blocks against her.

Afyon get seven aces but not enough attack points

Yüzgenç Solak was Afyon’s most productive attacker. Her 19 kills came from 45 attempts at 27% efficiency. Kočić added five attack points and five blocks, while Toktamış contributed four attacks and four aces after entering the match.

Afyon’s problem was not finding direct points from serve. It was sustaining enough scoring elsewhere to match VakıfBank over four sets. The home side finished 16 attack points behind and four blocks behind. Even with six more aces, that left a clear scoring deficit.

The second set showed how disruptive Afyon could be when the pressure held. The third and fourth showed the other side of the matchup: once VakıfBank re-established an early lead, Afyon could not reproduce the same extended finish.

VakıfBank stay perfect after six rounds

After Round 6, the league table listed VakıfBank first with 17 points and a 6–0 record. Afyon were 14th with two points from six matches. VakıfBank’s club report also noted that the win extended their regular-season league-stage winning streak to 16 matches across the end of 2025–26 and the start of 2026–27.

Round 7 comes quickly. The Turkish Volleyball Federation’s official schedule has VakıfBank hosting Türk Hava Yolları on November 4. Afyon travel to Istanbul to face Fenerbahçe Medicana on November 5.
