Nikola Grbić is a Serbian volleyball coach and former world-class setter who leads Poland’s men’s national team. He remained in charge through EuroVolley 2026, where Poland won a second consecutive European title and secured qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Grbić has coached Poland since 2022, building on a career that already included major club success and a previous spell as head coach of Serbia.
As a player, Grbić was one of the central setters of Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro’s most successful generation, winning Olympic gold at Sydney 2000 and collecting major World and European medals. His coaching career began soon after retirement and quickly moved into top European clubs. He led ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle to the 2021 CEV Champions League title and later coached Perugia before taking the Poland job. With Poland, he won the 2023 Volleyball Nations League and EuroVolley, then guided the team to silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics before adding another European title in 2026. His teams have combined a strong service-and-blocking base with the decision-making standards expected from a former elite setter. That sequence has made his current profile unusually complete: elite setter experience, championship club coaching and sustained national-team results with one of the deepest player pools in the sport.
