Stefano Lavarini is an Italian volleyball coach who combines two major women’s volleyball roles in the 2026–27 cycle: head coach of Fenerbahçe Medicana and head coach of Poland’s women’s national team. He joined Fenerbahçe for the 2026–27 club season after leaving Numia Vero Volley Milano, while remaining with Poland, whom he has led since 2022. The dual assignment keeps him at the center of both the Turkish club season and a Polish national program that has returned to regular contention in major international events.
Lavarini’s career developed through Italian club volleyball before expanding into a notably international path. He coached Bergamo, Brazil’s Minas, South Korea’s national team, Busto Arsizio, Novara and Milano, and he also previously led Fenerbahçe during the 2023–24 season. With Poland, he helped the team re-establish itself among the upper tier of women’s international volleyball, including consecutive Volleyball Nations League medals and qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. His club work has likewise placed him repeatedly in Champions League-level environments. The 2026 return to Fenerbahçe is therefore not an unfamiliar move but a reconnection with a club and league he already knows, while the Poland role provides continuity across the Los Angeles 2028 cycle. That dual responsibility keeps him active at both club and international level.
