Josh Tuaniga

Josh Tuaniga is an American setter whose career has been defined by quick decision-making, a left-handed release and years of responsibility in high-level systems. At Long Beach State, he helped direct the program through a championship period and developed into a setter capable of combining tempo with strong front-row competitiveness. His size is modest by the standards of many modern international setters, but he compensates with location, speed to the ball and an ability to keep several attacking lanes active from imperfect passes.

Tuaniga’s professional career was built primarily in Poland, where he played in a league that places heavy tactical demands on setters and exposes them to elite serving pressure week after week. He also represented the United States internationally, contributing to the senior national-team program before deciding that his Team USA chapter had ended. That change allows his current club career to stand on its own rather than being framed around another Olympic cycle.

In 2026, Tuaniga signed a two-year agreement with Berlin Recycling Volleys, making Germany his first professional destination outside Poland. Berlin brought him in to organize an offense with championship expectations and significant European competition.
