Lloy Ball is a retired American setter whose size, competitiveness and tempo control helped drive the United States to Olympic gold at Beijing 2008. He appeared at four consecutive Olympic Games from 1996 through 2008 and earned nearly 400 international caps.
Ball played college volleyball at IPFW before building a long professional career overseas, including major success in Russia. The 203 cm setter was unusually physical for his position and became one of the defining American playmakers of his generation.
