Maxim Sapozhkov is a Russian opposite whose exceptional height makes him one of the most physically distinctive attackers in elite volleyball. Listed around 220 cm, he can contact the ball from a very high point and creates obvious problems both as a terminal attacker and as a right-side blocker. His career has included experience outside Russia as well as a return to the Russian Superleague.
With Dynamo Moscow, Sapozhkov played a major role in the club’s 2026 domestic success, including the Russian championship and cup run. He was also included in Russia’s 2026 senior squad. His value comes from more than size alone: when his approach timing and serve are stable, he can change the geometry of a match for opposing blockers.
