Stanford Women’s Volleyball represents Stanford University in NCAA Division I and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Cardinal are coached by Kevin Hambly and continue a program tradition built on elite recruiting, technical skill and sustained postseason success. Stanford’s move into the ACC changed the conference context around the team, but not the national standard attached to the program.
Stanford owns nine NCAA women’s volleyball championships, the most in the history of the program’s sport, with titles spanning from 1992 through 2019. Hambly coached the Cardinal to the 2018 and 2019 championships, adding to an established legacy created across several coaching eras. That depth of history, combined with a roster pipeline that regularly produces All-Americans and international players, keeps Stanford among the names most closely associated with championship-level college volleyball.
