Inside Nebraska Women’s Volleyball

Nebraska Women’s Volleyball represents the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference and is one of the most prominent programs in the history of the college game. Dani Busboom Kelly, a former Husker national champion as a player and assistant coach, became head coach in 2025. Nebraska combines a championship tradition with exceptional fan support and a statewide volleyball culture that gives the program a distinctive place in the sport.

The Huskers have won five national championships, in 1995, 2000, 2006, 2015 and 2017. In Busboom Kelly’s first season as head coach, Nebraska went 33-1, completed a perfect Big Ten regular season and reached the NCAA regional final. The program’s standard is therefore shaped by both history and current expectations: Nebraska enters seasons not merely aiming for the tournament, but measuring success against conference titles and national-championship contention.
