Kentucky Women’s Volleyball represents the University of Kentucky in NCAA Division I and competes in the Southeastern Conference. Head coach Craig Skinner has led the Wildcats since 2005 and built a program defined by consistency: Kentucky has combined repeated SEC success with one of the country’s longest active runs of NCAA tournament appearances. The Wildcats are based in Lexington and have become a standard-setter within the conference.
Kentucky reached the sport’s summit by winning the 2020 NCAA national championship, played in spring 2021 because of the pandemic-adjusted season. Skinner’s teams then continued collecting SEC titles, extending the program’s run of conference championships through 2025 and returning to the NCAA Final Four that year. That sustained performance makes Kentucky’s championship season part of a broader era of relevance rather than a one-off peak.
