Baylor Women’s Volleyball is the NCAA Division I program of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, competing in the Big 12 Conference. Head coach Ryan McGuyre has led the Bears since 2015 and turned Baylor into a regular NCAA tournament team. The program’s identity under McGuyre has emphasized athleticism, serving pressure and the ability to recruit and develop players capable of competing against the strongest programs in the region.
The high point of Baylor’s modern era came in 2019, when the Bears went 29-2 and advanced to the NCAA national semifinals. Baylor followed that breakthrough with multiple trips to the regional semifinals and continued NCAA qualification through the middle of the 2020s. The Bears therefore enter each season with a recent record of postseason relevance rather than relying only on isolated historical success.
