LOVB Atlanta helped open the first chapter of League One Volleyball’s professional competition and remains one of the league’s established city teams as the field expands for 2026–27. The club has played at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, creating a home base within the Atlanta metropolitan area while drawing on a strong regional youth-volleyball scene. Italian coach Carlo Parisi takes charge for the new cycle after a long career in European club volleyball, giving Atlanta a fresh technical direction without resetting the franchise’s existing identity or history from LOVB’s first two seasons.
Atlanta’s value to the league is partly geographic. The Southeast has produced large numbers of junior and collegiate players, yet stable women’s indoor professional volleyball has historically been difficult to sustain. LOVB Atlanta places an elite team inside that participation base and connects it to the organization’s wider club network. The franchise also participated in the league’s earliest rivalries and postseason races, giving it competitive history that the newest expansion sides do not yet possess. With Parisi leading a rebuilt roster, Atlanta enters 2026–27 as a mature LOVB market adapting to a larger league rather than a first-year team still searching for its basic identity. The reset therefore changes the sporting leadership without erasing the match history, fan relationships and local recognition already accumulated in Atlanta.
