Pittsburgh Women’s Volleyball represents the University of Pittsburgh in NCAA Division I and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Under head coach Dan Fisher, Pitt has developed from a strong conference program into a consistent national contender. The Panthers’ rise has been built on sustained recruiting, physical play at the net and a level of postseason continuity that has changed the program’s place in the national hierarchy.
Pitt reached five consecutive NCAA Final Fours from 2021 through 2025 and six straight Elite Eights from 2020 through 2025. During Fisher’s tenure, the Panthers also won seven ACC championships across the 2017-2025 span. Those results give Pitt one of the strongest recent postseason profiles in the sport and make the program a recurring reference point when evaluating the national title picture in women’s college volleyball.
