EuroVolley 2026 at a Glance

How EuroVolley 2026 Reshaped the European Picture
Both defending champions retained their continental crowns. Poland stayed on top of the men’s competition, while Türkiye repeated as women’s champion in front of a record home crowd in Istanbul.
Finland’s bronze was one of the biggest men’s stories of the edition, while Serbia extended its run of women’s EuroVolley medals. The champions also secured Europe’s direct qualification places for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

EuroVolley 2026 featured 24 national teams in each gender. The teams were divided into four pools of six, with the top four in each pool progressing to the round of 16 and then a single-elimination path to the medals.
The men’s tournament was co-hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, Finland and Romania, with the final phase in Milan. The women’s event was hosted across Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan and Sweden, with the medal matches in Istanbul. The 2026 champions also earned Europe’s direct Olympic qualification berths for LA 2028.
