2027 Women's Tournament Preview

The 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup will be played from 20 August to 5 September across the United States and Canada. All 32 teams are qualified, and the official draw on 26 October 2026 placed them into eight pools of four.

Pool play will be staged in Montreal, Omaha, Orlando and Quebec City, with the tournament ultimately moving to Honda Center in Anaheim for the final. The event is also an LA28 qualifier: the three highest-finishing teams not already qualified for the Olympics will earn quota places.

PREVIEW & CONTEXT

Why This Upcoming Edition Matters

This is the first edition to use the World Cup name after FIVB renamed the former Volleyball World Championship starting in 2027. The sporting lineage remains the same flagship global championship, now operating on a biennial cycle with 32 teams.

The draw gives the women’s edition a complete competitive map unusually early. What remains unknown is performance: match results, knockout qualifiers, medalists, MVP and final placements will be added only once the tournament is played.

COMPETITION GUIDE
